Law Offices of Michael T. Conroy
Nothing is more important than your child...
and nothing can be more devastating and stressful than a dispute over a child.
Michael Conroy regularly assists parents who are caught up in court litigating issues relating to custody and visitation. In New York, unless parents can come to an agreement, a court cannot award joint custody of a child. Child custody, in a nutshell, can be divided into two custody categories: legal and physical. The parent with legal custody gets to make decisions regarding the child. The parent who has physical custody of a child has the child primarily in their care. Other issues that can arise in a dispute include parenting time allocation (visiting arrangements) and child support.
Michael has many years of child custody trial experience in both Family Court and Supreme Court (divorces). He has actively cross examined opposing witnesses and forensic examiners. Having reviewed numerous psychological reports, Michael uses his experience to develop the best path for litigating a case before the court.
