Law Offices of Michael T. Conroy
Even the innocent can get arrested...
There is nothing more important than having an attorney as quickly as possible after being accused of a crime, and that attorney needs to be someone who is experienced and can take the case to trial, if necessary. If there is any quick advice to remember when confronted with a police investigation: remain silent and ask for legal counsel. Silence cannot be used against you in court, and even innocent explanations can always be turned around and twisted by law enforcement to make the accused look guilty.
Michael started his legal career in the Richmond County District Attorney's Office in 1992. Beginning as a young assistant DA in criminal court, Michael quickly advanced and successfully tried his first homicide case in 1995 after only three (3) years of practice. Michael ultimately became the Chief of the Target Crime Initiative Program and worked with police officers and detectives on a daily basis, learning police mind set and techniques. This knowledge has proved invaluable when confronting police officers on the witness stand and questioning their credibility.
