Michael has extensive experience in litigating divorce and the accompanying issues which must be resolved for two spouses to go about their lives. When acting in the role of a mediator, Michael applies his experience to resolving the conflict between the spouses at his office in an attempt to avoid a long, expensive and public airing of grievances in the court room.
Acting as a mediator, Michael sits down with both parents together and separately and addresses the issues to be resolved so a divorce can be finalized. In this role Michael does not represent either spouse but rather seeks to bring the spouses to a mutually agreeable settlement of all disputes. In the event the spouses cannot resolve the disputes the matter can be brought to court to be resolved in a traditional litigation setting. Please note that by agreeing to mediate a divorce, Michael cannot later be retained by either parent to represent them and they must each find their own counsel.
